Father Sentenced to 45 Years to Life for Killing 5-Year-Old Daughter

Adam Montgomery was sentenced to 45 years to life by a New Hampshire judge for the tragic murder of his daughter Harmony. Judge Amy Messer strongly denounced Montgomery’s actions, highlighting the severity of his crime in stealing a young life and inflicting immeasurable suffering on his family.

Montgomery’s sentencing included extra conditions for assault, witness tampering, and falsifying evidence, all to be served one after the other, amounting to a minimum of 56 years in prison. The judge justified the severe punishment by referring to the defendant’s history of violence and the brutal nature of Harmony’s murder.

The unfortunate destiny of Harmony was revealed when Montgomery’s former spouse reported her disappearance in 2021. Investigations uncovered that Harmony had been missing since 2019, a period when the family was without a home and residing in a car.

Prosecutors provided a detailed account of the tragic events that led to Harmony’s untimely demise on December 7, 2019. They alleged that Montgomery subjected her to physical abuse after she had an accident while sleeping. It is claimed that Montgomery then hid her body in a duffle bag, moving it several times before finally getting rid of her remains near Boston.

Even though Harmony’s stepmother, Kayla Montgomery, made a plea deal and gave important testimony, Adam Montgomery still refused to reveal Harmony’s location. The search for Harmony is ongoing, and a reward has been offered for any information that could help in finding her.
