Hageman criticized the Bureau of Land Management’s BLM proposed plan, calling it a de-facto land lockout that would prevent access to federal lands in Wyoming for economically productive activities like mining, grazing, recreation, and energy development.
She claimed that the plan is a result of pressure from radical environmentalists and the Biden-Harris administration, which she accused of prioritizing climate change concerns over scientific analysis.
According to Hageman, the plan would have devastating consequences for Wyoming’s local communities and industries. The bill’s passage through committee is seen as a significant step toward halting the plan.
