Wilmington Campaign: Mark Robinson Focuses on Public Safety, Education, and Housing

The article discusses Lt. Governor Mark Robinson’s visit to Wilmington, NC, as part of his gubernatorial campaign. Robinson, running against Attorney General Josh Stein, focused on key election issues during his speech at Carolina Barbeque.

He emphasized that the state’s economy is his top priority, highlighting five pillars that support it: public safety, public education, healthcare, infrastructure, and housing.

Additionally, Robinson addressed the challenges faced by Western North Carolina in recovering from Hurricane Helene, stressing the need for resources such as clothing, propane tanks, and space heaters for those affected by the disaster.

Meanwhile, Stein’s office reported that 308 complaints have been filed with the Department of Justice regarding price gouging related to the hurricane, particularly in groceries, hotel costs, and fuel prices in Buncombe, Henderson, and Cleveland counties.
