Washington State Patrol Honors Fallen Trooper with One More Stop Patrol

The Washington State Patrol WSP will conduct a One More Stop statewide emphasis patrol in honor of fallen Trooper Christopher Gadd from Friday, Sept. 27, at 4 p.m. to Saturday, Sept. 28, at 5 a.m. Trooper Gadd tragically lost his life on March 2, 2024, after being struck by an impaired driver on Interstate 5 near Marysville. His final message to his colleagues mentioned his intent to make “one more stop” before taking a break. This special patrol serves as a tribute to his dedication, with officers working to prevent dangerous driving and save lives, continuing Gadd’s legacy of service and protection on Washington’s roadways.

WSP Chief John R. Batiste described Gadd as a man with a passion for community service, emphasizing the patrol as a way to honor his memory by continuing his mission to safeguard drivers.
