Virginia Pastor Finds Hope in Psalm 145: A Lifeline in Dark Times

Pastor Işık Abla from Virginia shared a meaningful Bible verse with Fox News Digital. She highlighted Psalm 145:16, which says, “The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.” This verse, from the book of Psalms, reflects on God’s constant care and provision.

Psalm 145 is attributed to King David, and Psalms is a collection of 150 ancient Hebrew poems, songs, and prayers. Nearly half are attributed to King David, while the rest are by various authors.

Abla, senior pastor of Dream Church International in Virginia Beach, shared how this verse has deeply impacted her life. Born in Turkey and raised Muslim, she moved to America to escape an abusive marriage. Despite life’s challenges, including financial struggles and a cancer diagnosis, she felt God’s support and healing.

Abla described how God’s help came through friends and unexpected provisions, even during times of extreme difficulty, such as living in her car with her daughter. She believes that God’s faithfulness, as described in Psalm 145, has been evident in her own experiences.

She encourages those facing tough times to trust in God’s provision and love. Abla assures that God’s support is always available, just as it was for her and her daughter.
