Those commuting along one of Derry’s major streets may experience some inconvenience over the next few days due to some road construction and a road detour.
Beginning Tuesday May 28, the Department of Public Works will reconstruct a portion of Tsienneto Road between Rt. 102 and Bypass 28. Westbound traffic on Tsienneto Road will be detoured during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. using Route 102 and North Main Street (Route 28 Bypass). Eastbound traffic will experience delays as only one lane of traffic will be open.
Local residents and emergency vehicles, however, will have access at all times.
The road detour is expected to last one week.
