Town Administrator’s Arraignment Friday at District Court

No further action has been taken toward removing or reinstating Town Administrator John Anderson, Acting Town Administrator Larry Budreau said.
Budreau, who assumed Anderson’s responsibilities July 12, said last week that the Town Council had an hour-long legal discussion with Town Attorney Thomas Closson prior to the Council meeting Oct. 1. Budreau, who has been appointed spokesperson for the town on the issue, said he had no further comments.

Anderson, 50, was placed on paid administrative leave July 12 after being accused July 11 of exposing himself at his home to a door-to-door salesman. The Council appointed Budreau their spokesperson at that time.
Anderson was charged with two counts of indecent exposure and lewdness, both misdemeanors, on Aug. 16 after a five-week investigation by state police, and was placed on unpaid administrative leave Aug. 20.
At that time, the Council announced it would conduct its own inquiry. He is free on personal recognizance.
If found guilty of the charges, Anderson would face a $1,000 fine and a maximum sentence of 12 months in the Rockingham County House of Correction in Brentwood.
He is scheduled to be arraigned this Friday, Oct. 11, in Derry District Court.
