Makayla Evans, 5, and Penny Ryan, 7, were two of the young participants in the Stars and Stripes Cookie Decorating offered at the Derry Parks & Recreation Department’s Hood Park Summer Recreation Program. While the weather has not allowed many of the activities this year, the girls were able to participate in this one while watching the heavy rains fall Monday.
