St. Thomas Fire and Rescue Donates Fire Truck and Equipment to Hurricane-Hit Tennessee Department

St. Thomas Fire and Rescue in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, is making a significant donation to support the Limestone Cove Volunteer Fire Department in Tennessee as it recovers from the impact of Hurricane Helene.

Chief Thomas Bigler expressed pride in the department’s effort, noting, Our department members are pretty excited.

The donation includes a 1997 E-One Pumper truck equipped with a 1,500-gallon-per-minute pump and a 750-gallon water tank.

In addition to the truck, St. Thomas Fire and Rescue is sending $10,000 to $20,000 worth of equipment to assist the Tennessee department.

This marks the first time the department has donated on such a scale, although they’ve previously provided gear to neighboring areas in need.

A Franklin County trucking company, Charles E. Brake Transport LLC, is handling the delivery, with Advisor and driver Randy Brake sharing, Expected delivery around noontime tomorrow.

He added that the early holiday spirit has inspired the team as they deliver this much-needed aid to Limestone Cove.
