Detroit Police arrested six people at an illegal block party on the city’s northwest side, where a suspect also assaulted an officer.
Police were called to break up the party at Plainview and Pembroke, near Evergreen and Eight Mile, on Friday (8/9) around 11:15 p.m.
During the incident, there was a disruption, and an officer was assaulted. The officer had drawn his weapon but it discharged while he was trying to holster it. Thankfully, no one was injured.
Police tasered two suspects, one of whom had a gun. All six suspects were taken into custody, but no further details have been released.
