A liberal activist group is asking authorities in New Jersey, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Virginia to investigate and sanction Congressman Ronny Jackson (R-TX) for allegedly practicing medicine without a license in these states.
The American Muckrakers PAC sent letters to the New Jersey Attorney General, the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, the Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Director, and the Virginia Department of Health Professions Director. They requested an immediate investigation into Jackson’s medical activities, a cease-and-desist order, and prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
Jackson is accused of offering medical advice to former president Donald Trump after he sustained an ear injury during an assassination attempt. Jackson stated, “I have been with President Trump since that time, and I have evaluated and treated his wound daily. He is doing well.”
Jackson let his Virginia medical license expire in 2020. In Florida, he is only licensed to provide care at military facilities. He holds a certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine, valid until 2025, which limits his practice to emergency medical services.
Previously, Jackson was nicknamed “Candyman” due to accusations of overprescribing drugs while serving as the White House physician, including ordering large quantities of fentanyl, morphine, and ketamine in a nine-month period.
