Popular Chicken Spot Plans Expansion in 3 Virginia Cities

Dave’s Hot Chicken is gearing up to open three new locations in Virginia by the end of the year, expanding its beloved spicy chicken menu to even more eager fans. What started as a small street food cart in East Hollywood in 2017 has rapidly evolved into an international sensation with 200 restaurants across six countries.

Expanding Across Virginia

The new Virginia locations will be opening soon: Franconia in June, Chesapeake in September, and Fairfax between October and December. Currently, Dave’s Hot Chicken operates one location in Virginia, located in Vienna.

From Street Cart to Global Chain

With a simple yet appealing menu of Nashville-style hot chicken tenders, sliders, fries, and mac and cheese, Dave’s Hot Chicken quickly gained a devoted following, particularly among those who love spicy food. The chain’s most famous offering is seasoned with the Carolina Reaper pepper and is so hot that it requires diners to sign a waiver.

Celebrity Backing and Growth

The restaurant’s rapid growth has been fueled by celebrity investors, including rapper Drake, who bought a significant stake in 2021, and singer Usher, who announced plans in March to open several locations in Atlanta.

Innovative Menu Additions

Dave’s Hot Chicken has also expanded its menu to include the “Dave’s NOT Chicken” line, featuring plant-based sliders and bites made from cauliflower, catering to a wider range of dietary preferences.
