Person Killed by Falling Tree During Severe Storms in Louisville

A severe storm that swept through Louisville on Sunday led to the tragic death of a person, likely due to a falling tree, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Around 12:30 p.m., emergency services responded to a call in the 10700 block of Hobbs Station Road, located between the Lyndon and Anchorage neighborhoods. The situation quickly escalated to a police investigation.

Authorities believe a man was struck by a falling tree and was pronounced dead at the scene. Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg expressed his condolences on social media, saying, “I’m sad to report we’ve had one fatality following the severe weather that just moved through the area and some structural damage reported.
