Noem Suggests Biden’s Dog Should Face Consequences Similar to Her Own

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has stirred controversy by suggesting in her new book, “No Going Back,” that President Joe Biden’s dog, Commander, should face a fate similar to that of a working dog she once shot on her farm.

In an advance copy obtained by CNN, Noem outlines a list of potential priorities for the first day of her hypothetical presidency in 2025, where she emphasizes ensuring that Commander is not present on the grounds. She humorously adds, “Commander, say hello to Cricket for me,” referencing her own dog.

Commander, the Biden family’s German shepherd, had reportedly been involved in 24 incidents of biting Secret Service personnel at the White House and other locations before being removed last October.

During a recent appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Noem raised concerns about the repeated attacks by the dog, questioning how many people need to be hurt before a decision is made regarding the dog’s behavior.

While pressed by host Margaret Brennan about whether she was suggesting the dog should be shot, Noem reiterated her stance on holding the president accountable for the dog’s actions without explicitly answering the question.

The remarks by Governor Noem have sparked debate over the appropriate response to the behavior of presidential pets and the accountability of their owners.
