MOORHEAD, Minn. TCN — An 18-year-old man from North Dakota has been arrested after the body of a missing 14-year-old girl was found along a river in Minnesota this week.
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Moorhead Police discovered the remains of Jaelyn Walker, who had been reported missing the night before. Police found her body near the Red River, and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that she was killed by multiple sharp force injuries.
Isaac Arndt has been identified as the main suspect. Police say he knew the victim.
On the night of Monday, Aug. 19, Arndt was given rides by two different drivers—one to Fargo, North Dakota, where he’s from, and another to the Moorhead Police Department.
Police are still looking for a Samsung Galaxy cellphone that may be connected to the case.
Arndt was arrested in Fargo, North Dakota, and is currently held at the Cass County Detention Center. He will be extradited to Clay County, Minnesota, where he will face felony homicide charges.
