Manassas Park Police Search Signal Hill Park for Evidence in Mamta Kafle Bhatt’s Disappearance

Manassas Park, Va. — Police in Manassas Park, along with the Prince William County Search and Rescue Team, closed Signal Hill Park on Friday as they searched for evidence related to the disappearance of 28-year-old Mamta Kafle Bhatt.

The park is located about 1.5 miles from the home where Bhatt lived with her family.

Manassas Park Police Chief Mario Lugo said detectives found information that led them to search the park. Police collected items that will be tested to see if they are connected to the case.

Mamta Kafle Bhatt has been missing for over a month. Her husband, Naresh Bhatt, 37, was arrested on August 22, after multiple searches of their home. He is accused of being involved in her disappearance and has been charged with the felony of concealing a dead body. Court documents allege that he murdered her in their home and then hid her body.

Naresh Bhatt is currently being held without bond.
