The Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire received 2,0096 submissions of art from public, parochial and private school students in grades 7-12.
Six panels of judges awarded 822 awards – 269 Gold Key awards – in New Hampshire.
Regional winners’ work in 16 visual art categories will be forwarded to New York in mid-February for national adjudication.
The winning works are on display now through Feb. 8 at host site and sponsor Pinkerton Academy’s Stockbridge Theatre in Derry. Viewing hours are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students with exhibited work will be recognized during two ceremonies on Feb. 8 – at noon for grades 7-9 and at 1 p.m. for grades 10-12, both in the Stockbridge Theatre. All students will receive certificates, and Silver and Gold Key recipients will receive a key pin for their achievement.
