Coach Amy Bernard’s Pinkerton Academy girls’ cross-country squad got its 2013 season officially off and running last Saturday, Sept. 7 by putting forth a fine performance at the annual Souhegan Relays at Freestyle Farm in Amherst. Bernard’s Lady Astros finished a superb second out of eight teams at the event, winding up with 18 points to end up only behind the victorious Bishop Guertin Lady Cardinals from Nashua (10). The host Souhegan Lady Sabers were third with a 27.
