Kristi Noem Criticizes Interviewer for Interrupting, Cries ‘Fake News’

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem sparked controversy after a tumultuous appearance on CBS’ Face the Nation, where she accused the host of unfair treatment and claimed bias against conservatives.

Taking to social media, Noem alleged that Margaret Brennan, the show’s host, interrupted her 36 times during their 15-minute interview, averaging once every 25 seconds. However, closer examination revealed that the interruptions were not as frequent as Noem claimed, with Brennan attempting to interject just over a dozen times.

In response to the perceived discrepancy in treatment, Noem lamented that her liberal counterparts, such as Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were not interrupted during their appearances on Face the Nation.

During the interview, Noem faced questions regarding passages in her upcoming book, including one where she recounted shooting a troublesome hunting dog years ago and another where she seemed to suggest that President Joe Biden’s dog should meet a similar fate.

Defending her actions, Noem reiterated that she made the decision to protect her family from a dangerous animal. She also stood by her remarks about Biden’s dog, citing instances where it had reportedly attacked Secret Service personnel.

The contentious interview comes as Noem prepares for the release of her memoir, “No Going Back,” which she described as a guide for Americans seeking to engage in governance.
