With Election Day around the corner, Indiana’s gubernatorial candidates, U.S. Senator Mike Braun (R) and former State Superintendent Jennifer McCormick D, expressed optimism and shared their final appeals to voters.
Braun highlighted his experience as a business owner and public servant, emphasizing his belief in his record of practical leadership. He cited recent polling that shows him leading and noted that the national political shift, with President Biden stepping down from the race, might influence Indiana voters.
McCormick, meanwhile, focused on the enthusiasm within her campaign, fueled by support from women, younger voters, and moderate Republicans.
She pointed out the demand among voters for a balanced, non-extremist approach to governance, which she argues her campaign represents.
Encouraging undecided and crossover voters to consider her as a viable alternative, McCormick noted the strong grassroots support her campaign has received and urged Hoosiers to come out and vote on Election Day.
Voters in Marion County can find their designated polling sites through local resources, as turnout is expected to be high. Both candidates remain hopeful as they await the final outcome in what could be a close race in Indiana.
