How Snow Plow Drivers from Wisconsin Helped Kansas City Businesses During a Snowstorm

The article highlights a recent snowstorm that led to snow plow drivers from a small town east of Madison, Wisconsin, traveling to Kansas City to help with snow removal at essential businesses.

The call for assistance came just days before the storm hit, prompting Paul Zervopoulos and seven other drivers to embark on a long journey, which turned into a 12-hour trek instead of the expected 7 hours.

Their mission was crucial, as businesses like grocery stores and hotels required snow removal even for minimal snow accumulation, such as 1 inch.

One of the drivers, Zervopoulos, noted that the team had driven roughly 3,200 miles in total. In Olathe, where the drivers stayed, they helped clear the parking lot of a local hotel, which was overwhelmed with snow, in exchange for free rooms.

The partnership proved to be vital, with local businesses benefiting from the extra manpower. Austin Buso, a local snow removal business owner, praised the extra help, emphasizing that the operation wouldn’t have been as efficient without it.

The drivers, including Zervopoulos, expressed their willingness to continue offering assistance to those in need, no matter where they’re located.
