Gabriel Sterling Urges Voters to Brace for Election Outcome, Regardless of Winner

Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s chief operating officer for the Secretary of State’s Office, recently issued a balanced message urging voters to manage their expectations and prepare for any outcome in the close race.

Posting on X, Sterling highlighted the unpredictability of elections, cautioning voters on both sides to emotionally & mentally prepare for possible disappointment, whether they support Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump.

He noted his own experiences, pointing out that his chosen candidates have not always won.

Sterling, who became well-known for his strong stance against post-2020 election misinformation, continues to advocate for calm.

Acknowledging the slim margins in key swing states that could determine the election, he also commented on Congress’s likely partisan shifts, predicting GOP control in the Senate but a potential loss in the House.

He framed elections as a patriotic duty, emphasizing the resilience of American democracy over two centuries. His message was a reminder of the importance of civic participation and the enduring nature of the republic, irrespective of individual election outcomes.

As early voting continues, Georgia has seen over half of eligible voters cast their ballots, underscoring the high stakes and strong voter engagement in the state.
