An ex-school cop is currently a fugitive after allegedly committing a double homicide in Washington state. Elias Huizar, 39, is accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife, Amber Rodriguez, and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Angelica Santos, on the same day he was scheduled to appear in court for child rape charges.
The incident unfolded on Monday afternoon when police received reports of a shooting outside William Wiley Elementary School in West Richland. Rodriguez, who worked at the school, was found dead at the scene. Shortly after, authorities discovered Santos’ body at Huizar’s residence, located nearby.
Huizar is believed to have fled the scene, possibly heading towards Mexico, with his 1-year-old son, Roman, who is now missing. Santos is reportedly Roman’s mother.
The relationship between Huizar and Santos is connected to one of the child rape charges he was facing in court. The tragic events have left the community shocked and law enforcement agencies are actively searching for Huizar, considering him armed and dangerous.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding Huizar’s whereabouts to come forward, as they continue their efforts to apprehend him and ensure the safety of Roman and the public.
