ELKHART, Ind. — Forest River, an Indiana-based company that makes cargo trailers and RVs, announced it will cut 160 jobs across four facilities in Indiana.
The company is combining its four cargo trailer plants in Elkhart into two locations. It is also consolidating operations in Ocilla, Georgia.
The layoffs will start on December 31, according to a document filed with Indiana’s Department of Workforce Development. Plant 16 will see the largest cuts, with 104 workers losing their jobs.
Earlier this year, Forest River laid off 83 employees.
The company says production from its Georgia facility will move to locations in Texas and Indiana.
