Federal Court Sentences Meth Distributor Eric Daneault in New England Drug Bust

A member of a nationwide drug trafficking ring was sentenced today in federal court in Boston. Eric Daneault, 48, from Manchester, N.H., was sentenced to eight years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for his involvement in distributing methamphetamine. Daneault was among 11 defendants charged in connection with a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation in New England.

The investigation, which began in October 2020, led to the seizure of over 160 pounds of methamphetamine, firearms, ammunition, and the dismantling of an illegal marijuana grow operation. Daneault was identified as a distributor for Reshat Alkayisi, a key methamphetamine trafficker in the region. Daneault had received over 5.3 kilograms of methamphetamine from Alkayisi in May 2021.

Daneault pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine in February 2024. He is the fourth defendant to be sentenced, with the remaining co-defendants awaiting sentencing.

This case was prosecuted by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces OCDETF, which targets high-level criminal organizations using a multi-agency approach.
