Derry Woman Injured in I-93 Crash

New Hampshire State Police are investigating an accident Monday that caused a Derry woman to lose control of her car and to be MedFlighted to a Boston hospital.
Nancy McEvoy, 65, was headed north on Interstate 93 in her 2003 red Honda Civic when she apparently lost control of the vehicle, according to information provided by the New Hampshire State Police. The vehicle began to skid, left the road and struck several trees before rolling over.

Personnel from the State Police Troop B and the Derry Fire Department responded. McEvoy was first taken to Parkland Medical Center, then airlifted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
She sustained serious injuries but was not ejected due to her seat belt, according to a press release.
The road went to one lane for two hours while the accident was investigated and McEvoy cared for.
The accident is under investigation by the State Police. Those with information are asked to call Trooper James Powers at 223-4381.
