A Derry man has been arrested and charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault after allegedly assaulting two children under the age of 13.
Louie Branco, 52, of 20 Kendall Pond Road #80 was arrested after police were called to the manufactured housing community at 30 Kendall Pond Road for a report of a sexual assault involving children.
According to a press release from Derry Police Capt. Vern Thomas, police were called to 30 Kendall Pond Road June 15 at 10:11 p.m. Thomas wrote, “It is alleged that a man who resides in the park took two girls for a ride in his car.” Branco is alleged to have offered to take the girls to a store to buy candy, and on the way to the store, he is alleged to have pulled over, told the girls to remove their clothes and assaulted them.” Both victims are under 13 and residents of the park, Thomas wrote.
Branco is charged with two counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, which are Class A felonies. He was taken to the Rockingham County House of Correction, from which he was arraigned June 16. Bail was set at $25,000 cash and he has a court date of Thursday, June 19.
Police are continuing to investigate the situation.
