Dartmouth Health has received a remarkable $6.7 million donation from the estate of Les Haynes, a New Hampshire resident and former patient.
Haynes credited the Dartmouth Health Advanced Response Team (DHART) with saving his life on multiple occasions, leading him to make this generous contribution.
The funds will support DHART’s efforts to expand access to emergency medical care, particularly in rural areas of Vermont and New Hampshire.
DHART plans to enhance transportation services, including adding more ambulances to better serve remote communities.
Director Mike Mulhern expressed surprise and gratitude, emphasizing the impact this gift will have on improving access to Dartmouth Health services.
