Culver’s Wisconsin Locations Raise Over $114,000 for Victims of Madison School Shooting

The Culver’s chain in Wisconsin has garnered significant community support following the tragic shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison on December 16. On December 18, Culver’s locations across the state, including Madison, saw an overwhelming turnout of customers eager to support the victims and their families.

The fundraiser benefited the United Way of Dane County’s Abundant Life Christian School Emergency and Recovery Fund.

Despite long lines, including wait times of up to two hours in some locations, the atmosphere was positive, with customers expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute.

The event raised more than $114,000 as of December 23, with some stores like the Madison East Towne Boulevard location donating around $6,000. Many employees and former employees of Culver’s have personal ties to the school, making the cause even more meaningful.

The funds from this event will help support victims of the shooting, including the families of those who died and the six others injured.

Two of the survivors were upgraded from critical to fair condition as of December 31. Local businesses, including Texas Roadhouse, are continuing the support with upcoming fundraising events.

The community’s resilience and unity in the face of tragedy are a testament to their strength and care for one another.
