Culver’s, the burger joint adored for its ButterBurgers, cheese curds, and frozen custard, is gearing up to spread its deliciousness by opening as many as 51 new locations in 2024. Originating in the Midwest, Culver’s has built a devoted fan base, fueling its steady expansion across the nation.
Eric Skrum, Culver’s director of public relations and communications, shared that the company is making strides to launch at least 51 fresh eateries by year’s end, with potential for even more. This exciting news was confirmed to USA TODAY, initially reported by Eat This, Not That!
Despite being renowned for top-notch fast food, Culver’s remains dedicated to strategic growth within its current markets. Skrum mentioned that there are no plans to venture into new states, focusing instead on fortifying its existing presence. The most recent expansion took place in Arkansas two years back, and now the aim is to strengthen operations within Culver’s current footprint.
The states set to welcome new Culver’s locations in 2024 include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. This expansion underscores Culver’s commitment to sharing its signature flavors with more communities nationwide.
Beyond its loyal fan base, Culver’s has garnered praise from Fodor’s Travel, being hailed as the best fast food restaurant in the U.S. Geena Truman, a Fodor’s writer, embarked on a culinary journey across America, and Culver’s stole the spotlight with its blend of convenience and exceptional taste, standing out from the crowd of bigger fast-food chains.
Established in 1984 by George, Ruth, Craig, and Lea Culver in Sauk City, Wisconsin, Culver’s has blossomed into over 900 family-owned and operated franchises spread across 26 states.
Despite its growth, Culver’s remains rooted in its Midwestern heritage, offering a warm, hospitable experience with every meal. With ongoing expansion and accolades, Culver’s continues to win hearts as a go-to destination for fast-food aficionados nationwide.
