Cold Snap Hits Southeast Georgia: Frost and Freezing Conditions Expected

Cold weather is hitting Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, bringing freezing temperatures tonight. A Freeze Warning is in place for inland areas until Tuesday morning, with frost expected near the St. Johns River.

Clear skies and dry air will cause temperatures to drop into the 20s in inland areas, while coastal regions will stay slightly warmer.

The chilly conditions will stick around through Wednesday, with daytime highs reaching the mid-50s to low 60s.

Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-to-upper 50s in Southeast Georgia and the low 60s in Northeast Florida.

Residents should prepare for the cold, especially overnight, as frost is likely in many areas.
