CHESTER – Members of the Chester Town Fair Committee are asking residents to mark their calendars for the annual Chester Town Fair at the ball fields near Chester Academy.
The annual festivity was cancelled last year, much like most events in the state due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, but this year it’s expected to be better than ever and being held on Saturday, Sept. 11, starting at noon.
The family oriented event includes a community parade, midway games, activities, demonstrations, vendors, live entertainment and a fireworks display to cap off the day.
Organizers are looking for community groups to walk in the annual parade that begins at the Town Hall and ends at the fairgrounds.
They are also looking for local farmers, community and service organizations, school clubs, local businesses, crafters, artisans and food vendors for both the parade and to occupy a booth at the fair.
Live music and entertainment events are scheduled throughout the day. The Chester Fire Department will once again be have their “Smoke House” at the fair, tickets will be sold for midway activities and games. Vendors will be selling food as well as locally crafted items and other products will be available. Starting at 7 p.m. the band “Mo Bounce” will jam into the evening and finish just in time for the fireworks display at nightfall.
A limited number of sponsorships are also available. Sponsor names will be prominently displayed on marquee banners at the fair and media marketing.
Sponsorship levels available: Diamond at $1,000; Platinum at $500; Gold at $250; Silver at $100; and Friends of the Fair at $25.

Spring Hill Fall Fest
Also being announced is the annual Fall Fest at Spring Hill Farm.
The annual event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Admission to the fair is free but the Spring Hill Advisory Committee welcomes donations toward the ADA ramp that needs to be constructed for the farmhouse and barn to make both accessible to the pubic.
The fair is expected to offer food, music, games, wagon rides, historical displays and farm animals.
Spring Hill farm is located at 96 Towle Road in Chester.
