Beverly Fire Department Launches Relief Fund for Hurricane Helene Victims

The Beverly Fire Department has been overwhelmed by the community’s generosity after launching a relief fund earlier this week to support those affected by Hurricane Helene.

Announced on Wednesday, October 9, the department began accepting donations at its headquarters, aiming to gather supplies to send to North Carolina, where the hurricane has caused significant damage.

Since the announcement, the fire department has been inundated with donations as residents flock to contribute.

From bottled water and non-perishable food to clothing and hygiene products, the outpouring of support has exceeded expectations.

The department has been posting on social media, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response.

Firefighters from Beverly have volunteered to personally deliver the donations to hurricane victims in North Carolina.

Trucks filled with supplies will embark on the journey once the collection concludes Friday evening.
