A Pinkerton Academy student was reunited with her family Thursday, March 24 after being missing for six days.
The Derry police and community were on alert after 15-year-old Taylor Lee Hovasse was reported missing by her mother.
Taylor left her house Saturday morning, March 19, telling her family she was either going to go for a walk or play basketball. When she did not return, her mother notified police and a Facebook alert went out from concerned community members. Hovasse’s mother said she may have gone to meet a boyfriend without parental approval.
She was believed to be in Manchester and both Derry and Manchester police kept a lookout for her, according to Derry Police Capt. Vern Thomas. She was spotted in Manchester by family members on Wednesday, March 23 but fled on foot.
