CHARLESTON, WV – A Raleigh County man has been arrested for stealing a car title and $10,000 worth of collectible coins.
On June 29, 2024, at 3:49 PM, police were called to Kanawha Blvd West in Charleston due to a theft from a parked Buick sedan.
The victim reported that $10,000 worth of collectible coins and the title to his 2000 Buick sedan had been stolen. He identified the suspect as “Country.”
In a separate incident, others mentioned “Country” was planning to leave the state with a newly acquired 2000 Buick and confirmed he had the car’s title.
“Country” was identified as 38-year-old Aaron Simmons of Lester, who had been recently arrested for another robbery in Charleston. When police arrested him, they found the stolen coins and the car title registered to the victim.
Simmons was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny. He is currently out on bond.
