Already set to host the National Association of Student Councils’ Annual Conference next month, the Pinkerton Academy Student Council recently won gold from the NASC. On April 28, the Student Council was named as a National Association of Student Councils’ Gold Council of Excellence for 2017, according to Pinkerton administrators.
In May of last year, students of Pinkerton Academy Video Production Teacher, Chris Lord, took home gold and silver medals for the Skills USA State competition in a 48-hour film contest. Hampstead Native and Pinkerton Academy Video Production student, Taylor-Rae Lancaster, was among these students, winning silver alongside Chester native, Oriana Theokas, for their collaboration,
Competing in the recent Skills USA state competition, Pinkerton Academy students won a record 23 gold medals. In addition, Pinkerton students took home 13 silver and 10 bronzed medals. And 134 Pinkerton students signed up this year, with 46 students winning a medal, also both records, according to Pinkerton administrators.
