The 2016 Pinkerton Academy varsity co-ed golf team has a slew of important returnees from a talented and successful 2015 squad, with a bunch of juniors sitting in the top spots and intent upon potentially leading coach Jeff Sojka’s to a finish even better than the effort at the state title meet last fall.
The 2015 Pinkerton bunch tallied an impressive 14-6 record and ended up sixth in that state championship match, and talented 11th graders Lauren Thibodeau, Erin DelloRusso, Jarrod Foster, Lewis White, and Noah Kierstead all come back as returning starters.
Thibodeau is coming off an exceptional summer of competition and recently played at the 41st annual Junior Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Championships in Rhode Island. Continue reading
The Economic Development Advisory Committee members reiterated their vision and purpose Monday night after Town Councilor Richard Tripp mentioned a comment made on Cable TV that claimed the committee had accomplished nothing.
The committee’s goal is to “assist in creating an environment that attracts robust businesses to Derry that meet the demand of our residents and the local workforce, and inspires current and future businesses to succeed in our community of historic Main Street storefronts complimented by the convenience of larger retailers, industry, and medical professionals.”
Chairwoman Terri Pastori said Derry has had seven new businesses come to town in the last two months. Continue reading
